Our nation’s capitol, with it’s imposing buildings, monuments and landmarks, set along the beautiful Potomac River, is a proud sight. A visit to Washington offers the student a first-hand glimpse into the structure and workings of our government, both past and present. We at Student Tours feel that we have been able to include the best of Washington, D.C. at a very reasonable price. Past and present will come alive in our nation’s capital as students discover its unique significance in the life of everyday America. It is a place for all of us to see and know.

All our hotels are conveniently located, some in the city, some on the edge of the city limits and others near the Metro, all an easy bus or metro ride to the places you will want to visit.

Sample Bus Intinerary

DAY 1
•    Early morning departure from school – rest stop along the way. Bring a snack and box lunch from home.
•    Arrive in Washington, D.C. and check in at your hotel. Enjoy a Dinner Disco Dance at your hotel. OR Stop in Baltimore. Pick up dinner at Harbor Place – own expense. Continue on to Washington. Bus to your hotel and check in.
•    Hotel security.

DAY 2
•    Breakfast at your hotel. Meet your guide

•    Board your bus for Capitol Hill. Visit the U.S. Capitol Building (pending availability), the Library of Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court.
•    Walk to Union Station for lunch – own expense.
•    Bus to the Newseum for a visit.
•    Bus to a Local Pizzeria for an all you can eat buffet dinner. OR Dinner in the City.
•    Meet your guide and begin your Night Tour of Washington including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln, Jefferson, FDR, Korean War, Viet Nam, Iwo Jima, WWII, and MLK Memorials, and the Kennedy Center as time permits. Your guide will leave you here.
•    Return to your hotel for the night.
•    Hotel security.

DAY 3
•    Breakfast at your hotel. Meet your guide.
•    Board your bus for Arlington National Cemetery. Visit the Women’s Memorial and the Kennedy grave sites.
•    Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier – to be requested by the school, pending availability. OR Bus to Mount Vernon. Visit the plantation home of George Washington and the reconstructed 16 sided barn. Pick up lunch – own expense.
•    Bus to the Smithsonian Institution. Visit the museums. Your guide will leave you here.
•    Return to your hotel to refresh before the evening activity.
•    Enjoy a Dinner Dance Cruise on the Potomac River.
•    Return to your hotel for the night.
•    Hotel security.

DAY 4
•    Breakfast at your hotel. Pack your bus and check out. Meet your guide.
•    Visit the National Zoo.
•    Pick up lunch – own expense. Your guide will leave you here.
•    Board your bus for return trip to your school. Dinner stop along the way – own expense

DAY I
•    Early morning departure from school. School is responsible for transportation to local airport.
•    Upon arrival at DC area airport, meet your bus.
•    Bus to the Smithsonian Institution. Visit the Air & Space Museum, the Museum of American History and the Museum of Natural History.
•    Walk to the National Archives for a visit.
•    Walk to the Holocaust Museum. Visit “The Story of Daniel”. Extended visits – pending availability.
•    Bus to your hotel and check in.
•    Bus to a Local Pizzeria for an all you can eat buffet dinner OR Dinner in the City.
